As part of the Post Office modernisation plans, Blairgowrie Post Office is set to be transformed into a new main style branch. The branch will close for refurbishment on Tuesday the 22nd of October and will re-open on Friday the 25th of October.
The change is part of a three year investment and support programme, which is the largest in the history of the Post Office and will see around 6000 branches converting to new style branches.
Blairgowrie’s new style Post Office will include longer opening hours as well as a refurbishments to fixtures and fittings and the inclusion of certain Post Office services at the retail counter.

“The Post Office has made a big commitment to re-invest and revitalise its branch network and it is especially pleasing to see these changes come to Blairgowrie.
“Longer opening hours and better service delivery will ensure that the residents of Blairgowrie are given access to the best possible services.”

“In rural areas, the Post Office occupies an important place within the community and in Blairgowrie that is no different.
“Many Blairgowrie and Rattray residents rely on the Post Office for a wide variety of services, and the modernisation process will help in the delivery of these services.
“Longer opening hours will also provide greater convenience for local residents.”
