Liz Smith MSP has highlighted the work done by the Outward Bound Trust in the UK as they appoint their new Chief Executive, Martin Davidson.
Commenting following lodging a motion in the Scottish Parliament, Liz said,
"The strapline for Outward Bound is 'Go Wild for Wellbeing' and with everything our young people have been through over the past two years as a result of the pandemic the work that charities such as Outward Bound do is needed more than ever. It is well documented that participation in outdoor education builds confidence, self-belief, self-reliance and resilience in young people and that the skills they develop contribute positively to their futures. I wish Martin Davidson the very best as he takes over at the helm of Outward Bound and look forward to continuing to do all I can to promote the development of outdoor education in Scotland."
