Murdo Fraser MSP has lodged and circulated a Motion at the Scottish Parliament congratulating The Black Watch and Museum on hosting the second War of Words book festival.

The details of the Motion are: That the Parliament congratulates The Black Watch Castle and Museum in Perth on hosting the second Words of War Book Festival on October 1 and 2; notes that the event, which will run from 10am-5pm each day, provides an opportunity for people to listen to and meet some of the authors who write about the many aspects of war; further notes that The Black Watch Castle and Museum is part of a charitable trust and proceeds from the Words of War Book Festival will go towards supporting their ventures, and wishes The Black Watch Castle and Museum all the best for the event and for the future.

Murdo Fraser was born in Inverness and studied law at Aberdeen University before practicing as a solicitor in Edinburgh. In the 1999 Scottish Parliament Election, Murdo stood as the Conservative candidate for North Tayside, and fought the constituency again at the 2001 General Election.
