Murdo Fraser MSP has lodged and circulated a Motion at the Scottish Parliament concerning a Perthshire woman who is helping in Ukraine.
The content of the Motion is: That the Parliament congratulates Martha Aitken, of Abernethy, Perthshire, who plans to help deliver soup and stews to people in Ukraine this winter; understands that Martha will be accompanied in her journey by Ukrainian Polina Pomitii, who wants to return to the country to check on her grandparents; believes that the two women will work with Ukrainian women in the Project Soup campaign by creating employment through asking local people to make large quantities of warm, nourishing soup and hearty stews which will then be distributed to people most in need, and wishes Martha and Polina all the best with their endeavour.
