Murdo Fraser MSP has praised the work of Strathmore Centre for Youth Development (SCYD) on a return visit to its newly refurbished building at Wellmeadow House in Blairgowrie, where he met with staff and learned of all the exciting work the centre is doing for young people in the area.
Mr Fraser was given a tour of the premises by Lloyd Girling, Chair of Trustees, and Kimberley Tosh, SCYD Manager, and was impressed with all he saw.
Commenting, Murdo Fraser MSP said: “I have been a supporter of SCYD and taken an interest in the work they do for years. The centre’s home in the Wellmeadow has had a deserved refurbishment and it was brilliant to speak to the staff and learn of how young people in the area have been making the most of the facilities.
"The centre has been a staple of Blairgowrie’s community for decades and it was great to hear from Lloyd, the Chairman of Trustees, and Kimberley, the manager, on some individual stories of how SCYD has helped young people from the area achieve their ambitions.”
