Babcock Training are helping support modern apprentices in hospitality at the Sandeman which is one of Perth’s most popular food and drink venues.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“It was great to meet both the modern apprentices and their trainers this week in order to learn more about what is being done to support the next generation of talent in the hospitality industry.
“Food and drink is an incredibly important industry for Perth and Kinross. VisitScotland’s Year of Food and Drink campaign brought many to the area and it is critical that we capitalise by having the right skills in place.
“I recently pressed Nicola Sturgeon on how the Scottish Government will use their share of the money from the UK Government’s new Apprenticeship Levy, as I believe this type of training is essential in providing youngsters with worthwhile careers."
