Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP, Murdo Fraser, is encouraging Blairgowrie residents to have their say on the Post Office’s relocation in the town.
The current Wellmeadow branch is set to close and move to Pricekracker on Perth Street.
As a result, the Post Office is asking local residents for their thoughts and a public consultation is set to run for the next 6 weeks. Specifically, the Post Office is asking the public for their views on the suitability of the location and how it can be a success.
The current branch is set to close on the 1st of March, with a replacement hoping to open its doors close to that date.
Commenting Murdo Fraser MSP said:
“I know that there has been considerable local chatter around the suitability of the proposed new location and now is the time for people to have their say.
“The Post Office is open to feedback and are keen to know exactly what would make this new site a success and its incumbent on anyone with a view to get in touch.
“However, with the consultation closing so close to the relocation date, I would hope that the public’s views are properly heard and this consultation isn’t just window dressing.
“Accessing Post Office services is incredibly important and it’s vital that they get the location right from the start.”
