St Johnstone's Geoff Brown praised in Scottish Parliament motion

Liz Smith MSP has lodged the following motion in the Scottish Parliament following news that Geoff Brown has put St Johnstone F.C. up for sale.

Commenting, Liz Smith said,

"The contribution Geoff Brown has made to St Johnstone Football Club is remarkable and deserves national recognition not just at McDiarmid Park. The statement that the proceeds from the sale of the club will go to the St Johnstone Community Trust sums up the relationship the Brown family have with the local community and is hugely welcome news. I wish Geoff Brown all the very best and hope that the lodging of this motion in the Scottish Parliament goes some way to expressing thanks for the contribution he has made to St Johnstone Football Club, to Perth and Kinross and to the wider Scottish football scene".
