Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife has welcomed the news that the Scottish Government has dismissed the appeal for the Mull Hill wind farm.
Liz Smith, Scottish Conservative MSP for Mid Scotland & Fife said:
“It is welcome news that good sense has prevailed and the Mull Hill wind farm has been dismissed.
“It was clear from the outset that the vast majority of local people were against the Mull Hill wind farm. Just as importantly, there is significant public concern about the planning process and how well it responds to local democracy. The rejection of this appeal sends a strong message that local people must be at the heart of planning decisions and that both Local and National Government must be mindful of these concern in the future as they revue the planning system.
“It was clear that it was going to have a detrimental impact on such a scenic area and given the strength of local objections the community will feel that on this occasion the Scottish Ministers have listened and dismissed the appeal.”
