Hugh was born in Fortrose and after graduating from Aberdeen University ended up moving to Scone. He and his wife have four daughters, all of whom attended the Robert Douglas Memorial School.
While living and working in Old Scone Hugh was a member of many local bodies. Secretary and Chairman of Scone and District Community Council, he also represented Scone as a Councillor for over 12 years. Now retired and living in Glencarse, Hugh is able to devote all his time and experience to serving the residents of the Strathmore Ward.
